Coaching
Supporting the life of the writer and the life of the book.
One-to-one book coaching with Lisa combines sustained writing practice, close editorial feedback, and a holistic approach to the creative process.

For writers who are just beginning, feeling stuck, deep in a manuscript, or carrying a story they have not yet found the words to tell.
Every book begins with something asking for your attention. A story that needs to be told. A truth that wants to be revealed. An image, memory, or idea that will not let you go. Bringing it to the page takes curiosity and craft, but also the courage to keep going before you know exactly what it will become. That deserves real, sustained, compassionate support.
Rooted in the Narrative Healing framework, my one-to-one coaching supports the writer, the work, and the journey of bringing that work into the world. Together we listen for the book’s deeper purpose, find the shape that will best serve it, and build a writing practice that can carry it forward, without losing connection to your voice or yourself along the way.
Together, we’ll move your book or body of work forward while keeping your well-being and creative life at the center.
Does this sound familiar?
- Your creative work keeps falling to the bottom of the list while you care for everyone else.
- You feel called to write a book, but you don’t know where to begin.
- You’ve taken classes or worked with coaches, and something essential was missing.
- The inner critic is louder than your own voice.
- You’ve generated pages on retreat, then lost momentum once the glow faded.
“You are not unmotivated or undisciplined. You simply haven’t been supported in a way that honors your voice, your life, and your nervous system.”
“Lisa offers a rare attentiveness that makes people feel truly heard and creates the space people need to create. I can’t imagine a better guide for anyone looking to deepen their writing practice, navigate the publishing world or make new connections in the field.”

A new paradigm for book coaching
This isn’t traditional book coaching. It’s a deeply supportive, industry-informed approach that honors both the creative process and the person doing the writing.
Lisa’s work is shaped by two decades in publishing — including a decade at Penguin Random House, working with hundreds of award-winning and bestselling authors. It also draws from her life as an author, and from years of training in restorative, therapeutic, and trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness.
Writing a story that matters asks a great deal of us — creatively, emotionally, and practically. This work is built to support that whole experience.
From there, she brings
Publishing experience
A decade inside the industry at Penguin Random House, and a clear read on how books actually find their readers.
Trauma-informed support
An embodied, mindful framework that keeps you resourced through the parts of the work that ask the most of you.
Editorial depth
Developmental attention to structure, voice, and shape — the craft of turning pages into a book.
A path built with you
Not a template. We decide together what this needs to be, and adjust it as the work changes.
“She not only sees where you are, she sees where you could go. Working with her has been a dream and an honor.”
